Indonesia Becomes a Vacation Option for Citizens of Luxembourg

SURABAYAPAGI.com, Jakarta - Indonesia is the choice of the people from Luxembourg who will vacation in the summer. Indonesia is considered to have diverse tourism objects, ranging from cultural tourism packages, natural beauty and diverse tourism objects. This was conveyed by visitors to the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels at the VAKANZ tourism exhibition held in Luxembourg which lasted three days and was the largest B-to-C tourism exhibition in the Luxembourg region and beyond. "The exhibition was officially opened by the Minister of Tourism of Luxembourg, Lex Delles, who took time to visit the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels after the opening ceremony," said Pensosbud of the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels, Ance Maylany, Sunday (20/1). The Indonesian Ambassador in Brussels, Yuri O Thamrin gave an explanation to Minister Lex Delles about the priorities of Indonesias tourist destinations summarized in the "Ten New Bali" project. Minister Delles also had the opportunity to taste traditional food and Indonesian herbal medicine, as well as receive angklung souvenirs. The Indonesian Embassy in Brussels was also enlivened by presentations on homeland tourism destinations by the French Indonesian Tourism Office in France (Visit Indonesia Tourism Office, VITO), promotion of Indonesian snacks to traditional herbal medicine, dance performances, and various quizzes with attractive souvenir gifts. The presence of a tour of tourism operators from Indonesia and Belgium also supports the sale of Indonesian tourism destinations in a more measurable and further impact. The Deputy Ministry of Tourism was present at the tourism exhibition which took place from 18 January to 20 and partnered with an operator tour from Indonesia Together Tour (Jakarta), Travel Dance (Makassar), Jungle Kayak (Yogyakarta) which was previously present at tourism exhibitions in the Netherlands and the presence of a tour operator from Belgium Nias Travel. Meanwhile Luxembourg tour operators also showed positive sales for Indonesian tour packages at competitive prices compared to other ASEAN countries destinations. Emile Weber became the biggest tour operator at this exhibition and sold Indonesian tour packages for 1,990 euros for 11 nights, while Club Med, ULT, We Love to Travel, Voyages Flammang, Travel Sensation, TUI, DerTour and Lernidee also sold tour packages at prices which competes with quality and tailor-made travel options that appeal to potential tourists. Followed by more than 200 exhibitors, Vakanz is expected to increase the number of Luxembourg tourists who will be on vacation in Indonesia, where in 2018 there was an increase of 14 percent from the previous year. It is expected that this number will increase even more with sales packages that were successfully sold by operator tours at the Indonesian Embassy stand that participated in this exhibition. rk
