Jokowi’s Prayer for Megawati in the 72nd Birthday

Indonesia’s fifth president Megawati, President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla during Megawati’s birthday celebration in Jakarta on Wednesday (23/1).


SURABAYAPAGI.com, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) delivered a prayer to the General Chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri, who celebrated her 72nd birthday. Jokowi also received a book called "The Brave Lady" which contained Megawati.
"In this happy day I would like to convey my 70th birthday plus 1 plus 1, and may Allah always give health to him and Allah always gives happiness to Mrs. Megawati Sukarnoputri," the President said at Hotel Sahid, Jakarta on Wednesday (23/1).
In the event, the President who was present at the event along with Vice President Jusuf Kalla also received a book entitled "The Brave Lady" which wrote about Megawati. During his remarks, Megawati conveyed a message to young Indonesian women to be responsible for using smartphones.
Megawati also conveyed about the development of cultural arts experienced by young women today. In addition, he also appreciated the 72nd anniversary celebration held by the PDI-P DPP.
"It’s nice today because it’s usually a workday but entertained by these sweet kids," he said.
A number of modern traditional dance performances were performed by the Swara Gembira studio on the program by combining theatrical action which presented energetic dances of young people.
The "Bangun Pemudi Pemuda" performance show symbolizes the diversity of art and culture, regional customs, ethnicity, to the diversity of the Indonesian profession from Sabang to Merauke and from Miangas to Rote Island.
At the start of the program, the dance was performed by a number of women holding bow and arrow gracefully following the song Bengawan Solo dancing by wearing white clothes. Do not miss the lenong betawi dish as a musical act of the song created by the famous Betawi artist mogul, Benyamin Syuaib, with the song "Minta Duit".
Ending the event, reog arts and "Jaranan" and a combination of dancers who have performed singing along with the song "Bangun Pemudi Pemuda". rk
