Online Prostitution that Involves Students Revealed

SURABAYAPAGI.com, Samarinda - The Detective and Criminal Unit of Samarinda Polrestabes managed to uncover cases of online prostitution businesses in the local area. The police secured a number of perpetrators, including the status of female students. Kasatreskrim Polrestabes Samarinda Commissioner Sudarsono told the media crew in Samarinda on Sunday (13/1), explaining that his party had secured three online prostitutes, namely YD (28) as muncikari, RD (23) and GA (23) both as prostitutes , in a raid held on Friday morning (11/1) in two hotels located in Samarinda City. He explained, based on the confession of the suspects, the online prostitution business rates ranged in price to Rp 1 million for a single date. Meanwhile, muncikari gets rations from its subordinates in the range of Rp 100 thousand in one transaction, or is treated to food and also enjoys night entertainment, if it does not get a quota of money. According to Sudarsono, YD came from Bontang City and was a student at one of the universities in Samarinda City, while RD and GA were residents in Samarinda City, and the relations of the three were friends. "Initially we received public reports regarding this online prostitution business, then we arranged a strategy to be able to relate to YD which was suspected of pimping, because this YD apparently could not connect with any person," Sudarsono explained. He explained, from the results of the communication, he assured that his friends and bosses needed comfort women to be able to serve in the hotel. Then YD gives a signal to send his men. "In this operation we rented two hotels to trap these online prostitution businesses," he explained. He added, based on information from YD as pimps, it had been running its operations since 2017, but based on recognition RD had been sold by YD in 2016. "We are still carrying out further investigations with the statements of the perpetrators and a number of witnesses will develop this case to uncover other prostitution businesses that may still be in the city of Samarinda," said Sudarsono. rk
