VA Involved in Prostitution Provision

Fickar relates it to article 55 of the Criminal Code, which mentions people who do, who order to do, or take part in criminal acts. Not only with the Criminal Code, Fickar also mentioned the possibility of Vanessa being snared by the TPPU article. "If they are pimping and their prostitutes are known to have disguised their income from prostitution work, they can also be subject to article 3 of the TPPU Law," Fickar said. Article 3 of the TPPU Law states that every person who possesses or uses the proceeds of crime as the purpose of hiding or disguising the origin of Assets is punished for money laundering with a maximum imprisonment of 20 years and a maximum fine of Rp 10 billion. Vanessa, said Fickar, could be ensnared as an active TPPU actor. Article TPPU is made possible on the basis of information from the East Java Regional Police. Special Criminal Investigation Director of East Java Regional Police Commissioner Akhmad Yusep Gunawan revealed, from digital transaction data and minutes, Vanessa recorded nine times related to prostitution. Yusep explained, out of the nine transactions, VA practiced prostitution in Singapore twice in February 2018, twice in Jakarta and once in Surabaya. Meanwhile, for the VA pegged tariff, Yusep stated that it was still in the same figure, which was Rp 80 million. "Of the nine transactions, the VA was facilitated by six pimps.
