SURABAYAPAGI.com, Jayapura - The Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) Region V Jayapura, Papua Province noted that an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale rocked Jayapura Regency on Friday (4/1), at around 8:15 a.m.
The quake was located at 2.46 South Latitude and 140.55 East Longitude or 13 kilometers northeast of Jayapura Regency, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The earthquake was felt in Heram District, Waena Abepura, to Jayapura City.
Until this news was revealed, there had been no statement from the authorities related to material losses or victims of the earthquake. rk
