"Blackpink" on the Peak of Popularity of K-Pop Girlband

SURABAYAPAGI.com - Blackpink was named the most popular K-pop women’s group in January, followed by Twice and Red Velvet. The list is given by the Korea Brand Reputation Center. This center analyzes more than 135 million pieces of big data about women’s groups from 4 December 2018 to 5 January. They also checked the reputation of girlband brands in the categories of participation, media, communication and community. Blackpink has a score of 16,799,350 points compared to Twice which is ranked second with 14,771,906 points. The reputation of the Twice brand is among the top three for almost every month in 2018. Sales of Twice recorded a record of almost one million and dominated the local and global music charts with each of the main songs from their albums in 2018.
