Mendagri is Ready to Give Information About Meikarta

SURABAYAPAGI.com - Interior Minister Tjahjo Kumolo stressed that he was ready to be summoned and give information to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This was due to the statement of Bekasi Regent Neneng Hasanah Yasin who claimed to have received his directives regarding the 84.6 hectare Meikarta project. "The Ministry of Home Affairs has been questioned and if needed again, I am ready to present and give information to the KPK," Tjahjo said, answering reporters’ questions after opening the 2019 RPJMD Musrenbang in North Sumatra, Tuesday (22/1). Tjahjo Kumolo admitted that he had previously been called by the KPK team. "I am certainly ready to give information if asked by the KPK again," he said. According to him, the KPK will find out all the problems related to corruption. "I myself feel that I have no problem in any action," he said. Tjahjo Kumolo stressed that he still often communicates with regional heads throughout Indonesia using cellphones. Bekasi Regent Neneng Hasanah Yasin in the trial following the case of alleged bribery licensing for the Meikarta megaproject claimed to have received direction from Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo regarding the 84.6 hectare Meikarta project. rk
