Kemenkominfo Against Hoaks with "Lambehoaks"

SURABAYAPAGI.com - The Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of Kemenkominfo launched the first episode of LambeHoaks on Thursday (24/1) as an effort to ward off hoaks. The broadcast was uploaded immediately on all Kemenkominfo social media accounts on the same day. Acting Head of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics Public Relations Bureau Ferdinandus Setu said the Lambehoaks program talked about the issue of bustling hoaks in cyberspace. In order to attract audiences, the audio-visual program was delivered by the iconic figure of Miss Lambe Hoaks "Lambehoaks will be aired routinely every week through the main GPR TV media channels and the Ministry of Communication and Informatics social media official account namely Youtube KemkominfoTV, Instagram @kemenkominfo, Twitter @kemkominfo, and Facebook page of the Ministry of Communication and Information," he said on an official statement on Thursday (24/1 /). Ferdinandus said in each episode, Miss Lambehoaks explained the top 10 issues of hoax findings of the Content Complaints Team of the Directorate General of Information Applications at the Ministry of Communication and Information. With his distinctive creative style, Miss Lambehoaks explores the facts behind the hoax that circulated during the past week. "In the first episode, the program featured the tsunami wave issue, President Jokowi’s fake diploma, and the dangerous issue of eating meatballs while drinking ice because it could trigger cancer," he said. The Lambehoaks Program is a collaboration of the Public Relations Bureau with the Aptika Content Complaints Team and GPR TV Directorate General of IKP Kemenkominfo. He hopes that this program can be one of the main sources of information for the community in recognizing and confirming the issue of hoax which is constantly circulating in cyberspace and social media. Kemenkominfo applies three approaches in fighting hoax, besides digital literacy, there is a technological approach to screening or blocking and law enforcement. rk
