Israel Forces Pillage Homes and Arrest Residents of the West

SURABAYAPAGI.com - The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) revealed Israeli forces launched Thursday a series of attacks before dawn on the West Bank of the Jordan River and detained at least 15 Palestinians. Several Israeli military vehicles stormed several settlements in the city of Al-Khalil (Hebron), the southern part of the West Bank, where Jewish soldiers looted a number of houses, seized cash and detained two Palestinians. Israeli forces also stormed the Small Towns of Idhna and Deir Samet, west and southwest of Al-Khalil, detained two people, and carefully searched several homes. In Kota Kecil Dura, Jewish soldiers detained two Palestinians after attacking and interrogating the two residents. In the northern part of the West Bank, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians, including minors aged 15 and 16, from the Small City of Kufr Qaddum, east of Qalailia. Meanwhile, Jewish soldiers gathered three former prisoners after storming their homes in refugee camps and Jenin City, the Palestinian Official News Agency reported, WAFA. A similar military offensive was launched in the Small City of Yaabad, southwestern Jenin, and detained a former prisoner. In Ramallah District, two underage children aged 14 and 17 were taken from Kufr Ni’ma Village, west of Ramallah City. Another Palestinian was detained during a similar raid on the night in the Small Town of Abu Dis, east of Jerusalem. A similar attack was reported in Madama Village, south of Nablus, where Jewish soldiers confiscated two vehicles belonging to a former inmate and his father. Israeli forces have carried out widespread raids on a daily basis for detention across the West Bank under the pretext of "trying to find Palestinians wanted", sparking clashes with residents. Clashes often occur when Palestinian youths try to block the way of Jewish soldiers and throw stones and empty bottles at the army. They are faced with active bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas, so they often suffer serious injuries, which sometimes take lives. According to Palestinian statistics, as many as 6,500 Palestinians are still languishing in various Israeli prisoner installations, including a number of women and hundreds of small children. rk
