Polda : File Ratna P21 Before February is Complete

SURABAYAPAGI.com, Jakarta - The Metro Jaya Regional Police (Polda) once again delegated Ratna Sarumpaet’s file to the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday (10/1) afternoon. Polda Metro Jaya believes that Ratna Sarumpaet’s files will be declared complete (P21) before February 1. However, from the 20 revised points made from the Ratna Sarumpaet file, the Nico AKP stated that no new evidence was included. However, Nico explained, there was one new witness who was called to be questioned about Ratna Sarumpaet, the Political Observer of Rocky Gerung. Nico said, he was sure that Ratna Sarumpaet’s file would be P21 before February 1. "From our own case this is P21 before the prison period ends on February 1. Hopefully we can coordinate well to fulfill criminal material," he said in Jakarta, Thursday (10/1). P21 is notifying that the results of the investigation are complete. P21 is one of the codes according to the Attorney General’s Decree no 132 / JA / 11/94 concerning the Administration of Criminal Cases. The reason, AKP Nico said, investigators had followed the procedure and there were no significant obstacles in completing the case files. "Obstacles to investigators are possible in terms of time, because everything cannot be done ’instant’ (fast)," said AKP Nico. From case files No.685 / XI / 2018 / Dit. Reskrimum, cultural observer and activist Ratna Sarumpaet is suspected of committing a criminal act of broadcasting news or false information and deliberately causing confusion in the community. As a result of his actions, Ratna allegedly violated Article 28 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45A paragraph (2) of Republic of Indonesia Law No.19 / 2016 concerning amendment to RI Law No.11 / 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions, and or Article 14 paragraph (1) Law No. RI No.1 / 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations. rk
